As a Materials Executive, you will be the backbone of our production efficiency. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of materials—from procurement and vendor coordination to inventory control and floor distribution. You’ll work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that every high-precision component is available exactly when needed, minimizing downtime and optimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels of raw materials, electronic components, and sub-assemblies. Perform regular physical audits and reconcile them with the ERP system.
- Procurement Support: Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, lead time, and cost.
- Material Requirement Planning (MRP): Analyze production schedules to forecast material needs and prevent bottlenecks or overstocking.
- Inward/Outward Logistics: Manage the receipt of incoming goods, ensuring quality checks are performed, and oversee the organized dispatch of finished automation systems.
- Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records of Purchase Orders (POs), Goods Received Notes (GRNs), and Gate Passes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce material wastage and implement Lean or 5S methodologies within the warehouse/store area.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in materials management, preferably within the Industrial Automation, Robotics, or Manufacturing sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP software (like SAP, Oracle, or Tally) and advanced Excel.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage thousands of unique SKUs without losing track of the small, critical components.
