Job Purpose

To lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls activities for the BTG package of a large-scale steel plant project, ensuring timely execution, resource optimization, cost control, and adherence to contractual milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

- Develop and maintain Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Establish project baselines and critical path analysis.
- Prepare detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning schedules.
- Integrate BTG package schedules with overall steel plant project schedules.

Project Controls

- Monitor project progress against approved plans.
- Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project performance reports.
- Identify schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Resource & Productivity Management

- Plan manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
- Track productivity and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

Risk Management

- Conduct schedule risk assessments.
- Identify project constraints and mitigation measures.
- Support management in decision-making through data-driven analysis.

Stakeholder Coordination

- Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Participate in review meetings and progress discussions.
- Ensure compliance with project contractual obligations.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- PMP/Project Management certification preferred.
- Primavera P6 certification preferred.

Experience

- 15-20 years of project planning experience.
- Minimum 8 years in Steel Plant, Power Plant, BTG, EPC, or Heavy Industrial Projects.
- Experience managing mega projects valued above INR 1,000 Cr preferred.
