- MCh / DrNB Surgical Gastroenterology
- MS / DNB General Surgery with relevant advanced training may also be considered
- Valid NMC / Telangana Medical Council Registration
Experience
- Experienced candidates preferred
- Strong hands-on experience in GI and hepatobiliary surgical procedures will be given preference
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Surgical Gastroenterology OPD consultations
- Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgical conditions
- Perform elective and emergency GI surgeries as per expertise
- Perform laparoscopic and open GI procedures
- Manage conditions involving the stomach, intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and biliary tract
- Evaluate patients for appropriate surgical intervention
- Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative care
- Manage surgical emergencies and post-operative complications
- Review and correlate relevant imaging and diagnostic investigations
- Coordinate with Gastroenterologists, Radiologists, Anaesthesiologists, Intensivists and other specialists
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis,
treatment options, surgery, risks and follow-up
- Maintain accurate clinical records, operative notes and discharge summaries
- Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements
- Follow hospital, infection-control, patient-safety and clinical protocols
