Responsibilities
- Execute VAVE productivity projects to enhance product value and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality standards and project timelines.
- Identify and implement opportunities for increased productivity and cost savings through value engineering techniques.
- Contribute to multiple projects, focusing on individual components or subsystems, and ensure adherence to QDC standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in technology, materials, and processes relevant to the business.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals and knowledge of Product Development Process.
- 6 - 8 years of Engineering experience.
- Proficient with 3D CAD software (preferably CREO).
- Thorough understanding of Engineering Fundamentals, including DFMEA, ECN, GD&T;, production drawings, tolerance analysis, engineering calculations, and other product development techniques and tools.
- Good knowledge of various manufacturing processes and material selection for Ferrous Alloys, Non-ferrous Alloys, Plastics.
- Ability to interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA) test results.
- Experience in Electromechanical Product Design.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques and Ability to generate creative ideas.
- Skills in Value Methodology, with certification as a Value Methodology Associate by SAVE International is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
