Key Responsibilities
- Diamond Grading: Evaluate loose stones according to IGI’s strict quality standards, specifically focusing on Color, Clarity, Cut, and Carat weight.
- Identification: Determine if diamonds are natural, synthetic (lab-grown), or treated (e.g., HPHT, CVD) using technical instruments like microscopes and laser inscription machines.
- Quality Control: Perform detailed quality checks on graded stones to ensure consistency and accuracy before final certification.
- Documentation: Maintain exact, meticulous records of all analyses and observations in the laboratory's tracking system.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize specialized gemological tools and laser inscription machines to mark diamonds with unique identification numbers.
