Key Responsibilities:
Perform metallurgical testing of raw materials and finished components

Conduct chemical analysis using spectrometer / wet analysis methods

Carry out microstructure analysis using metallurgical microscope

Prepare samples for testing (cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, etching)

Perform hardness testing (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers)

Conduct grain size, case depth, and decarburization analysis

Support heat treatment process validation and inspection

Interpret test results and prepare metallurgical reports

Ensure compliance with material standards (IS, ASTM, EN, DIN, etc.)

Maintain laboratory equipment calibration and records

Follow ISO / IATF / quality system documentation

Support root cause analysis for material-related defects

Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for corrective actions

Maintain lab safety, housekeeping, and 5S practices

Required Qualifications:




Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Metallurgy / Materials Science / Mechanical (with metallurgy exposure)

2-5 years of experience in a Metallurgical Laboratory (manufacturing workplace preferred)

Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Metallurgical testing and inspection methods

Chemical analysis and spectrometer operation

Microstructure examination and interpretation

Heat treatment processes and metallurgy fundamentals

Knowledge of material standards and specifications

Hardness testing instruments and metallurgical lab equipment

Salary =35k -45k In hand
