About the Role

Tracer India is looking for a creative and hands-on Footwear Designer to join our in office design and R&D; team in Jalandhar. This role sits at the heart of our product creation process, and you will be working closely with the R&D; Team and production teams to transform concepts into real, production-ready footwear.

If you are passionate about designing original, distinctive footwear and want to see your ideas come alive from concept to sample, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Research & Development (R&D;) team to understand design briefs, material directions, performance requirements, and functional goals.
- Translate research insights and creative concepts into clear, innovative footwear designs.
- Develop and refine designs continuously until final approval.
- Design footwear across multiple categories, including:




- Running shoes
- Sports & performance footwear
- Cricket shoes
- Hiking shoes
- Leather formal & casual shoes
- Sandals
- Badminton, Pickleball & Tennis shoes
- Create unique and distinctive design languages that set Tracer apart in the market.
- Develop detailed design drawings, construction details, and material layouts.
- Finalize colorways and design variations for each model.
- Create patterns in multiple sizes after design finalisation.
- Coordinate with the sample-making and production teams, guiding them through design intent and construction details.
- Support the product journey from concept → design → pattern → sample development.
- Ensure smooth communication between design, R&D;, and production teams throughout the sample development process.
