We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team and help bring our content to life across YouTube (long-form) and Instagram (Reels & short-form).

What You’ll Be Editing
- YouTube Long-Form Videos:
- 8-20 minute videos
- Talking head, educational, commentary, or podcast-style content
- Clean cuts, engaging pacing, b-roll, motion graphics, captions, light sound design
- Instagram Reels / Short-Form Content:
- 15-60 second vertical videos
- Fast-paced edits
- Hook-driven structure
- Energetic captions, zooms, jump cuts, trend-aware editing

Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos with strong storytelling and retention focus
- Repurpose long-form content into engaging short-form clips
- Add subtitles, motion graphics, sound effects, music, and light color correction
- Maintain consistent brand style and visual identity
- Meet deadlines consistently
- Collaborate on creative ideas for hooks and audience engagement





What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience editing for YouTube and Instagram:
- Strong understanding of retention-based editing
- Ability to edit both horizontal (16:9) and vertical (9:16) formats
- Proficiency in:
- Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- After Effects (preferred but not required)
- Strong sense of pacing, music timing, and visual storytelling
- Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly

Bonus Points
- Experience working with content creators or personal brands
- Knowledge of YouTube audience retention strategies
- Thumbnail design skills
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills

Deliverables
- 4 to 12 long-form YouTube videos per month
- 10 to 12 short-form clips per week (repurposed or original edits)

Compensation
