The Junior Purchase Executive / Trainee will support the procurement team in sourcing raw materials, maintaining purchase documentation, coordinating with suppliers and transporters, and ensuring smooth inventory and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Assist in sourcing raw materials, goods, and services.
- Float inquiries and obtain quotations from suppliers.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO).
- Follow up with vendors and transporters for timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain skilled relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Visit suppliers and conduct supplier audits when required.
- Identify and develop new vendors and sourcing opportunities.
2. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain daily purchase data and records.
- Perform DC checking and invoice verification.
- Maintain ISO-related documentation and purchase records.
- Prepare and process E-way bills.
- Maintain creditor lists and assist in payment release.
- Maintain proper records of orders, payments, and received stock.
- Handle sample dispatch and courier tracking.
3. Inventory & Stock Management
- Conduct stock inspections and stock-taking.
- Monitor inward material quality.
- Report faulty or inconsistent materials.
- Reorder supplies as necessary.
- Ensure proper packaging and timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain requisitions and purchase tracking.
4. Coordination & Follow-up
- Coordinate with the delivery team for scheduled shipments.
- Follow up on delays or rescheduled orders.
- Support trial and approval processes for new materials.
- Complete assigned daily tasks and reporting requirements.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any stream / Logistics / Supply Chain / BE
Experience
- Fresher or 1-3 years of experience in raw material purchase or procurement.
