Mainframe Automation Experience in other Automation product like AF Operator & BMC Mainview AO would be an added advantage. • Valuable experience in dealing with Migration projects – CA-OPS/MVS to IBM System Automation and vice versa. • Proficiency in REXX, CLIST and Netview PIPE Programming. • Responsible for developing & deploying automated solutions across the infrastructure to eliminate manual intervention, including automated IPLs, application recovery and auto ticket generation. • Expected to support Automation application through various upgrade/maintenance activities., z/OS upgrades, Data Centre consolidation, CPU Refreshes etc • Need to support inherited client automation code, implement & support infrastructure critical event management, remote console access & paging. • Responsible for all automation tool functionality, design, integration, and implementation. • Transform client automation to standard toolset and experience in working with multiple complexes/LPARs support.
• Good understanding of Infrastructure restores process during DR activities & tests. • Required Involvement in feasibility studies and recommending mainframe automation solutions across all the mainframe environments. • Excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues. • Should have good understanding of ITIL Process & Procedures and ability to perform diagnostics & RCA. • Should be a self-starter with ability to work alone or in a team, able to meet challenging deadlines & ability to do multitasking. • The job function required strong analytical & documentation skills along with excellent communication. • The analyst is responsible to provide 24 /7 Automation on-call support on a rotational basis for multiple customers.
