We’re Hiring: Lead Embedded Systems Engineer Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh Company: Protexia Systems Private Limited Role: Full time | On-site ️ Domain: Embedded Systems | Aerospace | Defence | Mechatronics | Control Systems About the Role Protexia Systems is looking for a highly capable Lead Embedded Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced electronic control systems for our aerospace and defence technology programmes. The selected engineer will be responsible for developing a compact, intelligent and highly reliable embedded control unit integrating: Sensors Microcontrollers Actuators Precision Control Real-Time Firmware Safety & Fault Monitoring This is a hands-on product-development role involving complete system ownership — from component selection and prototype development to firmware, hardware integration, testing and productisation. We are specifically looking for an engineer who is comfortable working at the intersection of: Embedded Electronics Firmware Sensors Mechatronics Precision Fluid/Pneumatic Control Key Responsibilities • Define the overall embedded electronics and control-system architecture. • Select and integrate suitable microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, communication systems and electronic components. • Develop real-time embedded firmware using C/C++. • Develop control algorithms for precision regulation of electromechanical and pneumatic systems. • Interface and control proportional valves, solenoid valves, pumps, motors and other electronic actuators. • Integrate pressure, differential-pressure, flow, temperature, environmental and other analogue/digital sensors. • Develop closed-loop control systems using real-time sensor feedback. • Develop algorithms for demand-based and condition-dependent actuator control. • Implement sensor fusion, signal conditioning, filtering and calibration algorithms. • Develop system startup self-tests and continuous system-health monitoring. • Implement fault detection, diagnostics and fail-safe operating modes. • Develop watchdog systems and sensor plausibility checks. • Implement redundant monitoring and safety-critical control logic where required. • Develop power-monitoring and power-management functions. • Interface embedded controllers with displays, indicators, switches, buzzers and other HMI components. • Implement communication interfaces including: UART CAN SPI I²C RS485 USB • Work closely with mechanical, electronics, pneumatic and systems-engineering teams. • Support PCB architecture, schematic design, board bring-up and hardware debugging. • Develop and validate actuator driver circuits for proportional and solenoid-controlled systems. • Perform sensor and actuator characterisation and calibration. • Develop laboratory test rigs for evaluating control-system performance. • Conduct real-time testing of pressure, flow, response time, transient behaviour and control accuracy.



• Perform fault-injection testing and validate system behaviour during abnormal operating conditions. • Support EMI/EMC, environmental, vibration, temperature and reliability testing. • Maintain firmware documentation, architecture documentation, engineering drawings, test reports and revision control. • Lead the transition from laboratory prototype to a ruggedised, production-ready aerospace/defence product. Technical Skills Required Strong practical experience with: • Embedded C / C++ • STM32, NXP, Microchip, TI or similar ARM-based microcontrollers • Real-time embedded firmware development • RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS or equivalent • ADC / DAC systems • PWM-based actuator control • Analogue and digital sensor integration • Pressure and flow sensor interfacing • SPI / I²C / UART / CAN communications • Interrupt-driven embedded systems • Signal processing and digital filtering • Sensor calibration • Closed-loop control systems • PID control • MOSFET-based actuator drivers • Solenoid and proportional-valve control • Power electronics fundamentals • Hardware protection circuits • PCB bring-up and debugging • Firmware debugging and validation • Oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters and laboratory instrumentation • System-level fault detection and diagnostics Highly Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas will be strongly preferred: • Safety-critical embedded systems • Precision pneumatic systems • Electronic pressure regulators • Proportional valve control • Mass-flow controllers • Industrial automation • Process-control instrumentation • Medical devices • Ventilators or respiratory equipment • Anaesthesia equipment • Industrial gas-control systems • Aerospace electronics • Avionics • Automotive electronic control units • Battery-management or power-management systems • Robotics and mechatronics • Defence electronics • High-reliability embedded products Experience working with pressure sensors, flow sensors, differential-pressure sensors, proportional valves, precision regulators or fluid-control systems will be especially valuable. Some of the Engineering Problems You Will Work On This role goes significantly beyond conventional embedded programming. The engineer will develop systems capable of performing functions such as: Sensor Input → Real-Time Processing → Decision Logic → Precision Actuator Control → Feedback Verification The controller may simultaneously monitor multiple parameters such as:



• Pressure • Differential pressure • Flow • Temperature • Environmental conditions • Actuator status • Power-system condition • System operating state and dynamically adjust system behaviour based on these inputs. The system will also be required to identify abnormal operating conditions and respond using predetermined safe operating modes. Educational Background Preferred: B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech / M.E. in: • Electronics & Communication Engineering • Electrical Engineering • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering • Mechatronics Engineering • Embedded Systems • Control & Instrumentation • Robotics / Automation Exceptional candidates from other engineering backgrounds with strong hands-on embedded-system experience are also encouraged to apply. Experience Preferred: 5 years of relevant embedded systems/product-development experience. Candidates with slightly lower experience but exceptional hands-on experience in embedded electronics, sensors, actuators and control systems may also be considered. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who: • Enjoys developing complete physical products rather than only writing software. • Can take a system from a block diagram to functioning hardware. • Can independently select sensors, controllers and actuators based on system requirements. • Is comfortable debugging firmware, electronics, sensors and mechanical systems simultaneously. • Understands real-time control systems. • Understands the importance of predictable failure behaviour in safety-critical systems. • Can develop redundancy, diagnostics and fault-handling strategies. • Can independently research components and develop engineering solutions. • Is comfortable working closely with mechanical and systems engineers. • Can design experiments and test rigs to validate engineering assumptions. • Is comfortable working on technology where a ready-made reference design may not exist. • Wants to take technical ownership of challenging indigenous aerospace and defence technology programmes.
