Not Just Apps. Surgical Intelligence. We are looking for an experienced Android / Embedded Software Engineer to develop real-time, medical-grade software for Android-based AR. This is a highly specialized engineering role focused on embedded Android, computer vision integration, JNI/NDK, real-time camera processing, and hands-free surgical workflows. What You’ll Work On: • Embedded Android applications for AR. • Real-time Camera2 API pipelines • JNI / NDK integration with native C++ computer vision libraries • Surgical workflow state machines • Hands-free gesture and sensor-based interactions • Real-time rendering and low-latency processing • Medical-grade reliability and crash recovery systems • AR navigation software used during live surgical procedures Technical Environment: ✔ Android 13 / ARM64 ✔ Java JNI/C++ ✔ Camera2 API ✔ OpenCV Integration ✔ Gradle / Android Studio ✔ Real-time wearable systems ✔ Embedded Android architecture We’re Looking For:
• 4 years of Android development experience • Strong expertise in Camera2 API (not CameraX) • Experience with JNI / NDK integration • Embedded Android or wearable device experience preferred • Passion for solving complex real-time engineering challenges Robust Advantage If You Have: • AR / Smart Glasses platform experience • OpenGL ES knowledge • OpenCV & computer vision exposure • Medical device software development experience • Experience with Vuzix, RealWear, or similar platforms Why This Role is Unique: This is not conventional mobile app development.
