nAbout the Role
nMedical Transcriptionist
nKey Responsibilities
n
- n
- Transcribe dictated recordings from physicians, surgeons, and consultants including history & physical examinations, discharge summaries, operative notes, consultation reports, and diagnostic/radiology reports.n
- Review and edit documents for grammatical accuracy, clarity,



and consistency with medical terminology and hospital formatting standards.n
- Interpret medical abbreviations, drug names, and specialty-specific terminology accurately.n
- Maintain and update patient records in physical files and within the hospital's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.n
- Identify and flag inconsistencies, incomplete dictations, or discrepancies to the concerned physician for clarification.n
- Ensure all documentation meets hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient confidentiality standards.n
- Deliver completed reports within specified turnaround times.n
- Uphold strict confidentiality of all patient information at all timesn

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Medical Transcription, Life Sciences, or a related field.n
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred; Entry-level candidates with solid medical ter
