Description: Role Descriptions: Fortinet Security Engineer (Fortinet Migration)

Details of The Project-

We are looking for an experienced Fortinet Security Engineer with strong expertise in FortiGate Firewall administration, migration, upgrades, and enterprise security deployments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in firewall policy migration, VPN technologies, HA clusters, security optimization, and migration from legacy firewall platforms to Fortinet.

Experience - 10+ years (8+ years should be relevant)

Location - Bangalore/Hyderabad/Chennai/Kolkata

Required Technical Skill Set -

Expert-level experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls

FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer administration

Fortinet firewall migration and transformation projects

Policy migration, optimization, and cleanup

Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN

NAT, Routing, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN

High Availability (HA) deployment and troubleshooting

IPS, Application Control, Web Filtering, Anti-Malware

Security policy review and compliance management





Firewall troubleshooting and performance optimization

Must-Have-

Advanced/Expert Check Point firewall experience

Candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Check Point firewall administration, policy management, troubleshooting, and production support.

Check Point R82 upgrade and migration experience

Should have worked on firewall upgrade/migration activities, including pre-checks, compatibility validation, implementation, post-checks, and rollback planning.

Solid knowledge of firewall security features

Must be comfortable with NAT, VPN, IPS, URL filtering, access control policies, log analysis, and security rulebase optimization.

High availability and clustering knowledge: Should have hands-on experience with Check Point ClusterXL, HA failover,

sync issues, route failover, and gateway health checks.

Production troubleshooting experience

Must be able to troubleshoot complex connectivity, policy, routing, VPN, NAT, an
