Qualifications

Core Technical Skills:
- Networking:
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Cisco Nexus (5k/7k/9k) series
- Hands-on experience with VLANs, VPCs, port channels, STP, and LACP
- ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure):
- Familiarity with ACI fabric concepts (EPGs, Bridge Domains, Tenants)
- Basic troubleshooting and navigation in the APIC GUI
- Core Routing & Switching:
- Working knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, BGP (read-only or basic config)
- Experience with layer 2 and layer 3 switch configuration and verification
- Storage Networking:
- Understanding of SAN/NAS basics
- Familiarity with Fibre Channel zoning, multipathing, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Able to use tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Cisco Tetration, or Prime




- Performs packet capture analysis, syslog and SNMP-based diagnostics
- Resolves standard network outages, link failures, and latency issues
- Documentation & Operations:
- Comfortable updating network diagrams, maintaining runbooks
- Follows change control and escalation procedures
