About The Job:
- A File & Print Technical Specialist L2, also known as a Level 2 File & Print Support Specialist, is a skilled responsible for providing technical support and expertise in managing file and print services within an organization.
- This role typically involves working with various operating systems, network configurations, and software applications related to file sharing and printing
Essential Job Functions:
File and Print Services Management:
- Manage and maintain file server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance,
security, and availability.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot file sharing services such as Network Attached Storage (NAS) or cloud-based storage solutions.
- Implement and maintain print server environments, including printer configuration, driver management, and print queue administration.
Technical Support:
- Provide second-level technical support to end-users and other IT support staff.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to file access, permissions, print failures, and network connectivity.
- Collaborate with Level 1 support teams to escalate and resolve complex problems.
System Administration:
- Administer user accounts, groups, and permissions for file access, ensuring security and data integrity.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for file and print services.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to prevent downtime.
