About The Job:
- We are seeking a seasoned Application DBA to support the ECHO project, a strategic transformation of the Retail business aimed at simplifying architecture, reducing vendor dependencies, and improving operational resiliency.
- The DBA will play a pivotal role in consolidating databases, optimizing performance, and enabling seamless data flow across the newly designed workbenches such as Pricing, Deal Management, Billing, and Settlements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design and maintain SQL Server databases supporting ECHO modules.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to implement scalable, secure, and high-performing database solutions.
- Consolidate legacy databases (from 42 to 7) to reduce footprint and simplify architecture.
- Support Database operations and manage role-based access control for ECHO environments.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure data integrity across upstream and downstream processes.
- Participate in Agile delivery cycles, including regression and integration testing
Qualifications:
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align database design with ECHO’s transformation goals.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to resolve complex database and integration issues.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and business analysts.
- Adaptability: Willingness to evolve with recent technologies and architectural shifts.
- 8+ years of SQL Server development and administration.
- 5+ years of experience managing databases in Azure or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with Database platforms and role-based access control.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Playwright, ADO) and performance testing strategies.
