About the Organisation & Role:
You will be part of the Core Commerce Platform organisation responsible for delivering the omnichannel commerce capabilities that power the purchase journey, inventory availability, delivery promise, order processing & fulfilment and post-purchase experiences across channels. The organisation plays a critical role in ensuring products are available to buy, orders can be fulfilled reliably, and commitments made to consumers are delivered consistently. Through a portfolio of commerce platform capabilities, the organisation enables seamless omnichannel experiences while supporting effective, scalable, and resilient commerce operations across the global digital ecosystem.
As a Software Engineer, you will build the backend services that power omnichannel commerce capabilities. You will be responsible for technical design, implementation and validation. Working closely with the Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager, you will deliver low-latency services that support real-time consumer experiences.
What you will do:
- · Develop and support scalable services for real-time inventory availability, allocation, and order promising across digital and physical commerce channels.
- · Develop accurate Available-to-Sell calculations by combining on-hand, in-transit, reserved, allocated, and safety-stock inventory positions.
- · Build order-promising capabilities that calculate reliable delivery and pickup estimates based on inventory location, fulfilment-node capacity, carrier options, shipping methods, and operational cut-off times.
