Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday PSA (Professional Services Automation) / Projects Functional Support Consultant based in India to support an ongoing Workday implementation and production support engagement.

This is a contract opportunity and the ideal candidate must be comfortable working during U.S. Eastern Time (ET) business hours and able to provide consistent daily support aligned with our U.S.-based team.

We are looking for a hands-on Workday functional consultant who can independently investigate production issues, troubleshoot problems, configure solutions, perform testing, and work directly with business stakeholders.

This is not primarily a project management or high-level architecture role . Strong hands-on experience with Workday Projects/PSA, production support, configuration, business processes, reporting, troubleshooting, and testing is essential.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

Candidates must have the following:

- 5+ years of hands-on Workday experience in implementation, configuration, administration, or production support.
- Strong hands -on expertise in Workday PSA / Projects, including project setup, project transactions, project costing, and project-related business processes.
- Production Support & Troubleshooting experience,



including incident management, root-cause analysis, issue resolution, and handling business-critical Workday issues.
- Workday Configuration & Business Processes experience, including configuration, enhancements, condition rules, approvals, validations, and related Workday business processes.
- Workday Reporting & Testing experience, including custom reports, calculated fields, report troubleshooting, test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
- Robust Communication & Independent Working Skills, with the ability to interact directly with business users, gather requirements, prioritize issues, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide functional production support for Workday PSA / Projects and related Workday Financial Management functionality.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Workday Projects issues reported by business users and stakeholders.
- Configure and maintain Workday Projects/PSA business processes, workflows, validations, and related functionality.
- Support project-related transactions, including project setup, project costing, project billing, project accounting, and project reporting.




- Investigate production issues and perform root-cause analysis to identify recurring problems and recommend permanent solutions.
- Develop and implement enhancements and configuration changes based on business requirements.
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot Workday custom reports, calculated fields, and reporting requirements.
- Support integrations and collaborate with technical teams when issues involve downstream or upstream systems.
- Perform unit testing, system testing, regression testing, and support UAT activities for Workday changes.
- Prepare test scenarios and validate configuration changes before deployment to production.
- Participate in Workday releases, identify impacts to PSA/Projects functionality, and support post-release validation.
- Manage multiple support tickets and prioritize issues based on business impact and urgency.
- Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and resolutions clearly to stakeholders.
- Work independently in a remote environment while maintaining availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

- Workday certification in Financial Management, Projects/PSA, or a related Workday functional area.
- Experience supporting Workday Financial Management in addition to Projects/PSA.
- Experience with Workday integrations and understanding of integration touchpoints affecting Projects.
- Experience working in a production support or AMS environment.
- Strong understanding of finance and project accounting concepts.
- Experience with Workday Community, release management, and Workday support methodologies.
