About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise-level WordPress architecture and development, with a proven track record of managing complex, large-scale WordPress environments. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins, optimizing performance, and ensuring the security and scalability of our digital solutions.

The developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, customized web solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

- 10–15 years of overall software/web development experience with deep WordPress expertise
- Strong enterprise-level WordPress development experience
- Hands-on experience with WordPress Multisite architecture and development
- Strong development experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Strong experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
- Deep understanding of WordPress Hooks, Actions, Filters and Core APIs




- Experience with custom post types, taxonomies, REST APIs and integrations
- Experience handling large, complex WordPress environments with multiple sites
- Strong understanding of WordPress database architecture and query optimization
- Experience with performance optimization, caching and scalability
- Strong understanding of WordPress security, authentication and access control
- Experience integrating WordPress with third-party APIs and enterprise systems
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex production issues
- Experience with Git/version control and deployment processes

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client specifications.
- Manage and optimize large-scale WordPress multisite environments to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional web solutions.
- Ensure the security and integrity of WordPress sites by implementing best practices in security, authentication, and access control.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Optimize database queries and application performance to support scalability and high traffic loads.




- Integrate WordPress with third-party APIs, enterprise systems, and custom services to enhance functionality.
- Maintain version control using Git and oversee deployment processes to ensure smooth releases.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in WordPress development.
- Document development processes, configurations, and solutions for future reference and team knowledge sharing.
