Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Windows Server Administrator with hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise Windows server environments. The role requires strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, patch management, server monitoring, file services, security hardening, backup operations, and incident troubleshooting. The candidate should be able to work independently with business and technical stakeholders to ensure high availability, stability, performance, and security of Windows infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, administer, and upgrade Windows Server operating systems across enterprise environments.

Manage Active Directory objects, including users, groups, organizational units, group policies, permissions, and access controls.

Monitor server health, CPU, memory, disk utilization, services, event logs, and overall infrastructure performance.

Troubleshoot Windows server issues, system errors, service failures, access issues, performance degradation, and user-reported incidents.

Apply security patches, cumulative updates, hotfixes, service packs, and vulnerability remediation actions as per organizational and Microsoft standards.

Manage file shares, NTFS permissions, shared folders, print services, Client namespaces, and file server migrations.

Perform file share migrations using tools and scripts such as Robocopy, PowerShell, and related migration utilities.

Implement and maintain backup, restore, disaster recovery,



and business continuity procedures for Windows servers.

Install and configure Windows Server roles and features based on business and application requirements.

Maintain server security by enforcing access controls, hardening standards, security groups, baseline configurations, and audit requirements.

Coordinate planned maintenance, server upgrades, and infrastructure changes with stakeholders and change management teams.

Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, implementation plans, and troubleshooting guides.

Provide technical support for internal teams, business users, and customers while ensuring timely incident resolution and service restoration.

Use PowerShell scripting to automate routine administrative tasks, reporting, monitoring, and operational activities.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Strong administration experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, or later versions.

Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services, print services, and Windows security concepts.

Hands-on experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, server hardening, and compliance activities.

Experience in monitoring tools, event log analysis, performance troubleshooting, and capacity management.

Knowledge of backup and recovery processes, disaster recovery planning, and server restoration activities.

Working knowledge of Client, file server management, access permissions, and migration activities.

Ability to write and modify PowerShell scripts for automation and operational support.

Understanding of ITIL processes such as incident, problem, change, and request management.

Valuable communication skills with the ability to coordinate with application teams, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.

Basic Knowledge on vSphere.
