Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Windchill Process Consultant / PLM Functional Consultant to work with business and IT stakeholders to analyze, define, and optimize PLM processes using PTC Windchill.

The role requires strong functional expertise in Windchill PDMLink, with a deep understanding of engineering change processes, configuration and release governance, product structures, and BOM management.

The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and Windchill solutions, and effectively bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

PLM & Windchill Process Consulting

- Analyze existing PLM processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand engineering and product lifecycle requirements.
- Facilitate AS-IS and TO-BE process discussions/workshops.
- Design and recommend business processes aligned with Windchill capabilities.
- Translate business processes and requirements into clear functional specifications.
- Provide functional guidance on Windchill OOTB capabilities, configuration, and customization.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure functional requirements are correctly understood and implemented.

Engineering Change & Release Management

- Provide functional expertise in Engineering Change Management.
- Support processes covering Change Requests, Change Notices, reviews, approvals, and implementation.
- Define and optimize configuration and release governance.
- Understand product revisions, versions, lifecycle states, and controlled product releases.
- Ensure PLM processes support appropriate engineering and business governance.

Product Structure & BOM Management

- Provide functional expertise in Product Structure and BOM Management.
- Understand engineering product structures and their relationship with Windchill Parts / WTParts.
- Support creation, maintenance, revision, and release of product structures and BOMs.
- Work with Engineering and Manufacturing stakeholders to ensure BOM processes meet business requirements.

Stakeholder & Business-IT Collaboration

- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT/technical teams.
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, walkthroughs, and solution discussions.
- Communicate complex PLM concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Documentation & Functional Analysis

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) and proven experience delivering end-to-end Windchill migration programs, including migration strategy, source-to-target mapping, data validation, rehearsal migrations, production cutover, and hypercare.
