? Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect / Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with enterprise customers in designing, deploying, configuring, and optimizing managed and self-managed database environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

This role also involves implementing AI-powered conversational analytics solutions that transform natural-language questions into accurate SQL queries.

The ideal candidate combines strong database and cloud architecture expertise, hands-on engineering capabilities, technical consulting, and customer-facing skills, with an interest in emerging AI/LLM technologies.

? Key Responsibilities

Customer Deployment & Implementation

- Design, deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise database environments.
- Install and support self-managed database clusters across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Perform cluster sizing, architecture design, upgrades, migrations, and production-readiness assessments.
- Implement High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, security, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot complex database, infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues.

AI Solution Implementation

- Deploy and configure AI-powered analytics solutions for enterprise customers.
- Integrate AI solutions with customer datasets and enterprise workflows.
- Enable Natural Language-to-SQL and AI-powered analytics capabilities.
- Validate AI-generated outputs and optimize prompts for accuracy and reliability.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to provide implementation feedback and recommend product improvements.

Technical Consulting

- Act as the primary technical advisor throughout customer implementations.
- Lead discovery sessions, technical workshops, architecture reviews, and solution discussions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.




- Recommend best practices around deployment, performance, scalability, and security.
- Create technical documentation, architecture guides, and implementation runbooks.

AI & Automation

- Leverage modern AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, deployments, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop automation scripts for repetitive deployment and operational activities.
- Use AI coding assistants and productivity tools to improve engineering efficiency.
- Stay current with LLMs, AI Agents, Generative AI, and enterprise AI technologies.

Customer Success

- Build strong relationships with customer architects, engineering teams, and technical stakeholders.
- Drive successful implementations while maintaining a high-quality customer experience.
- Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions and mentor customer teams on operational best practices.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Support teams for smooth project handoffs.

? Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, preferably in Professional Services, Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Data/Database Architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience deploying enterprise software and database solutions in customer environments.
- Hands-on experience with distributed SQL or relational databases such as:
- PostgreSQL
- CockroachDB
- YugabyteDB
- MySQL
- or similar technologies
- Strong Database Administration and Performance Tuning experience.
- Experience with Data Ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines.




- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or Ansible for Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong Linux system administration skills.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform:
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Strong networking fundamentals including DNS, TLS/SSL, firewalls, load balancing, and network troubleshooting.
- Programming/scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.

⭐ Good to Have
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, or Natural Language-to-SQL solutions.
- Experience implementing AI-powered analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering and AI output validation.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers and technical leadership.
- Experience with database migrations, upgrades, HA/DR architecture, and production deployments.
- Robust technical documentation and workshop facilitation skills.
