We are hiring experienced Counsellors for a growing mental health and counselling practice focused on providing culturally sensitive, ethical, and trauma-informed support.
This opportunity is suitable for counsellors who are passionate about meaningful clinical work and are also interested in contributing to group sessions, client engagement, community initiatives, and the development of counselling programs.
Engagement Options:
- Part time: 4 hours per day
- Full-Time: 8 hours per day
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one counselling to clients across a range of mental health and emotional well-being concerns.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records and case notes.
- Assess client needs and exercise sound clinical judgement.
- Identify and appropriately escalate risk or crisis situations when required.
- Develop and maintain professional and ethical relationships with clients.
- Conduct client follow-ups and support client engagement and continuity of care.
- Facilitate group counselling sessions, workshops, or related activities, particularly for full-time roles.
- Prepare client-facing and internal documentation as required.
- Contribute to the development of counselling resources, processes, and programs.
- Participate in community engagement and awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with the wider team to continuously improve client experience and service delivery.
- Follow applicable ethical, professional, and confidentiality standards.
Part-Time Role Working Hours: 4 hours/day The role will primarily involve:
- Conducting up to 3 client counselling sessions per day.
- Preparing case notes and clinical documentation.
- Maintaining client records and ensuring timely follow-ups.
Full-Time Role Working Hours: 8 hours/day In addition to counselling responsibilities, the role will involve:
- Conducting up to 4 client sessions per day.
- Preparing clinical and client-facing documentation.
- Facilitating group sessions and workshops.
- Handling client engagement and follow-ups.
- Supporting community-building and outreach initiatives.
- Contributing to program development and improvement of internal processes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Counselling Practice.
- 4–5 years of hands-on counselling experience with an active or substantial client caseload.
- Strong clinical assessment and judgement skills.
- Ability to recognise and appropriately respond to risk and crisis situations.
- Excellent case-note writing and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality.
- Professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Adaptable and proactive approach to work.
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Experience conducting group counselling sessions, workshops, or community programs.
- Training or experience in specific therapeutic modalities.
- Experience working with diverse client backgrounds.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed counselling approaches.
- Interest in mental health awareness, community engagement, or psychoeducation.
- Comfortable contributing to content, educational resources, or online community initiatives.
