Role & responsibilities
1. Knowledge of welding symbols.
2. Knowledge of AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2 & ASME Sec IX.
3. Preparation of WPS, PQR & WPQ.
4. Interpretation of welding drawings and dimensions.
5. Knowledge of GD&T.;
6. Knowledge of UT, MT & PT.
7. RCCA for welding defects.
8. Knowledge of welding materials and filler metals.
9. Welding process and welder qualification.
10. Knowledge of welding safety.
11. Proficiency in measuring instruments (Vernier, Height Gauge, Fillet Gauge).
12. Knowledge of welding fixtures.
13. Understanding of material behaviour during welding.
14. Knowledge of welding defects and corrective actions.
15. Familiarity with TIG, MIG, SMAW & FCAW processes.
