:

Responsible for precision welding, fabrication, and joining of components and enclosures used in flow meters, strainers, and other industrial instrumentation products according to technical drawings and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform MIG/TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel (MS), and other metals used in instrumentation products.

- Weld flow meter housings, enclosures, pipe joints, brackets, and other fabricated components.

- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications.

- Perform welding on thin metal sheets, pipes, and round joints with proper accuracy and finish.

- Ensure proper weld penetration, strength, alignment, and surface finish.

- Take necessary precautions to prevent distortion, warping, cracks, and leakage during fabrication.

- Assist with pressure testing and leak testing of welded components where required.

- Conduct visual inspection of welds and rectify welding defects when necessary.

- Coordinate with the Fitter, Production, and Quality Control teams to meet product specifications.

- Maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment in proper working condition.





- Follow welding safety procedures, PPE requirements, and proper material-handling practices.

- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the welding and fabrication area.

Desired Skills:

- Positive knowledge of MIG/TIG welding processes.

- Ability to weld thin metal sheets and round pipe joints.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.

- Knowledge of stainless steel, MS, and other commonly used fabrication materials.

- Experience with welding pressure-carrying components is preferred.

- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain welding quality.

- Knowledge of workplace safety and welding safety procedures.

Qualification:

- ITI – Welder / Fabrication or equivalent technical qualification preferred.

- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications can apply.

- Candidates with relevant welding/fabrication experience will be preferred.
