We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Credentialing to support the healthcare provider credentialing and enrollment process. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining provider information, verifying documents, and supporting the team in completing credentialing activities accurately and within the required timelines.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, good attention to detail, basic computer knowledge, and a willingness to learn healthcare credentialing processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, reviewing, and verifying provider documents, including education, training, licenses, certifications, and work history.
- Support the team in performing Primary Source Verification (PSV) of provider credentials.
- Assist with provider onboarding and ensure required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Update and maintain accurate provider information in credentialing databases and systems.
- Assist in preparing and processing provider enrollment applications.
- Track application status and follow up on pending documentation or requirements.
- Communicate with internal teams and healthcare providers regarding credentialing requirements and updates.
- Identify discrepancies in provider information and coordinate with the team concerned for resolution.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned credentialing activities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Maintain confidentiality of provider and organizational information and follow applicable policies and procedures.
- Learn and follow established credentialing workflows, guidelines, and quality standards.
