Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Project Civil Engineer to manage and supervise civil construction activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, site-management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Site Execution

- Plan, supervise, and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams.
- Check site measurements and verify quantities of work completed.
- Identify site issues and provide practical technical solutions.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, and other resources.
- Monitor construction activities including excavation, foundation, RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, finishing, and other civil works as applicable.

Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Review and understand civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
- Coordinate with the design/consultant team for drawing clarifications and revisions.
- Ensure construction is carried out as per approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare or review site-related technical documents, method statements, and work requirements.




- Maintain records of drawings, revisions, measurements, and site instructions.

Quality Control
- Ensure civil works meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Inspect construction materials and workmanship.
- Coordinate with the quality-control team for inspections and testing.
- Ensure proper execution of concrete, reinforcement, masonry, finishing, and other civil works.
- Identify and rectify construction defects and non-conformities.

Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Track project schedules and highlight delays or potential issues to management.
- Maintain site records, measurement books, checklists, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
- Monitor material requirements and coordinate with procurement/stores teams.
- Assist in preparing project estimates, quantity calculations, and material requirements.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the safety team to maintain a safe working workplace.
- Ensure workers and contractors follow appropriate PPE and site-safety requirements.
- Report unsafe practices, incidents, and potential hazards immediately.

Required Skills




- Strong knowledge of civil construction and site execution.
- Good understanding of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
- Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.
- Good knowledge of quantity estimation and measurements.
- Strong site supervision and contractor-management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of project scheduling and reporting.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and meet project deadlines.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Relevant certifications in project management or construction management will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 210 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project execution.
- Experience in handling construction sites independently will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or similar projects may be considered depending on project requirements.
