Role & responsibilities

- Design, deploy, configure, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments across enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Administer and support vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and NSX-T platforms to ensure high availability and operational excellence.
- Perform VCF lifecycle management activities including upgrades, patching, workload domain creation, expansion, and maintenance.
- Implement and maintain Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) solutions aligned with security, compliance, and business requirements.
- Configure and manage NSX-T networking, distributed firewalls, micro-segmentation, and network security policies.
- Design and maintain vSAN clusters, storage policies, capacity planning, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Monitor infrastructure health, analyze performance bottlenecks, and implement recommendations to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud-integrated environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and cloud teams to design and deliver enterprise virtualization solutions.
- Support disaster recovery planning, business continuity initiatives, backup strategies, and infrastructure resilience programs.
- Integrate VMware platforms with enterprise hardware solutions, cloud services, automation frameworks, and monitoring tools.
- Manage and support core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MFA, and authentication systems.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerCLI, PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline administration and operational tasks.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and configuration standards.
- Lead migration, modernization, consolidation, and infrastructure transformation projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on VMware best practices, virtualization design,



and operational procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging VMware technologies, licensing changes, and industry trends to support future platform strategy.
- Provide technical leadership and act as a subject matter expert for VMware Cloud Foundation and enterprise virtualization solutions.
- Support hybrid cloud and multi-cloud initiatives involving VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or other VMware-based cloud platforms.

Mandatory Skills: VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, vCenter/ESXi. Experience: 8-15 Years.

Preferred candidate profile

- 8-15 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering with strong expertise in VMware virtualization technologies.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) including deployment, administration, lifecycle management, and workload domain operations.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale VMware vSphere environments.
- Strong expertise in NSX-T including network virtualization, distributed routing, distributed firewall, micro-segmentation, and security policy management.
- Hands-on experience with vSAN deployment, storage policy management, cluster configuration, and capacity planning.
- Strong knowledge of vCenter, ESXi, and Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) architecture.
- Experience managing enterprise virtualization environments supporting critical production workloads.




- Strong understanding of infrastructure performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting and administering Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise directory services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MFA, Group Policies, and Identity Management solutions.
- Experience implementing disaster recovery, backup, high availability, business continuity, and infrastructure security best practices.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation using PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash, or Python.
- Experience integrating VMware environments with cloud platforms, automation tools, and enterprise hardware solutions.
- Strong understanding of virtualization networking, storage architecture, and enterprise security frameworks.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including networking, cloud, security, and infrastructure architecture teams.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on VMware technologies and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven professional capable of working independently in complex enterprise environments.
