Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated skilled to join our Buy-Side Team as an AVP – Buy-Side Insights & Content, with a focus on Corporate Banking.
The role will be responsible for transforming data and insights collected through primary research into high-quality research outputs, thought leadership and engaging content for the Buy-Side audience.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and research capabilities with an ability to understand the Corporate Banking landscape, identify meaningful trends and translate complex information into exclusive, high-value insights that incentivize corporate treasurers and CFOs to participate in our studies. The role will work closely with Research, Marketing, Operations, and Fielding to design a premium 'give-back' content strategy that directly drives VoC response rates and deepens institutional relationships..
Key Responsibilities
1. Buy-Side Respondent Engagement
Work closely with the Buy-Side Marketing team to develop content and engagement initiatives that provide value to respondents.
Use research findings and respondent feedback to identify topics and themes that are relevant to the Buy-Side audience.
Support the creation of respondent-facing materials, including research summaries, presentations, newsletters and other engagement content.
Partner with the team to identify opportunities to increase respondent participation and engagement through relevant and insight-led content.
Equip the interview/field teams with right-sized insights and 'hook' content they can use during cold outreach to secure VoC interviews
2. Content & Thought Leadership
Develop high-quality research reports, presentations, articles, briefing materials and other content based on primary research findings.
Convert raw VoC data into highly tailorable 'respondent-only' reports, benchmark graphics, and executive summaries that compel busy corporate banking clients to sit for interviews..
Support the development of thought leadership content around Corporate Banking, financial markets, client priorities and industry trends.
Develop charts, tables, presentations and other visual elements to effectively communicate research findings.
Ensure content is factually accurate, analytically robust and aligned with the overall research narrative.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to refine content and ensure that outputs meet expected quality standards.
3. Research & Data Analysis
Analyse primary research data and other relevant datasets to identify meaningful trends, themes and insights within the Corporate Banking sector.
Interpret research findings and translate quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable business insights.
Conduct secondary research where required to supplement primary research findings and provide relevant market context.
Perform data validation, cleaning, manipulation and aggregation to ensure accuracy and consistency of analysis.
Identify emerging themes, market developments and respondent perspectives that can be translated into meaningful research content.
Develop analytical frameworks and approaches to improve the quality and consistency of research outputs.
4. Corporate Banking Subject-Matter Expertise
Develop a strong understanding of the Corporate Banking ecosystem, including banks, financial institutions, products, client segments and market dynamics.
Build knowledge of key trends affecting Corporate Banking and the priorities of institutional and corporate clients.
Apply financial-services knowledge to interpret research findings and provide meaningful business context.
Stay informed about relevant market developments, industry trends and emerging themes that could influence research and content priorities.
5. Stakeholder Management
Work collaboratively with Research, Marketing, Operations and other internal teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into clear research and content deliverables.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders and, where required, external audiences.
Manage multiple deliverables simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting agreed timelines.
Build effective working relationships across teams and demonstrate strong ownership of assigned projects.
6. Project & Workflow Management
Own projects from initial requirement gathering through analysis, content development, review and final delivery.
Establish clear timelines, manage priorities and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed deadlines.
Coordinate multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Identify potential risks or dependencies early and proactively communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve research, analytical and content-development processes.
Requirements
· MBA in Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in financial services, research, analytics or a related discipline.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial-services research, investment research, market intelligence, consulting, analytics or content development.
· Strong understanding of Corporate Banking and financial markets, including banking products, institutions and industry dynamics.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify meaningful patterns and trends from data.
· Experience working with large datasets and combining information from multiple sources.
· Proficiency in data manipulation techniques, including cleaning, transforming and aggregating data in Excel.
· Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
· Experience creating data-driven presentations, reports and research content.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear and compelling narratives.
· Strong stakeholder-management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and seniority levels.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
· Experience working with primary research data, survey data or respondent-based research.
· Experience in financial-services research, market intelligence, consulting or a similar analytical environment.
· Knowledge of data visualisation and presentation techniques.
· Exposure to Power BI, Qlik Sense or other data-visualisation/analytical tools would be an advantage.
· Strong commercial orientation and ability to connect research findings to business implications.
