Carbon Light Pvt. Ltd. is a growing manufacturing company specializing in advanced composite and engineering solutions. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated VMC operator to join our production team and contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Job Summary The VMC operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines to ensure smooth production operations, quality output, and adherence to manufacturing standards. This position is focused on machine operation and production activities and does not involve CNC programming responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate VMC machines as per production requirements.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Inspect machined parts to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges for inspection.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify and report machine issues or abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Maintain production records and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- ITI, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical qualification.
- 3 to 5 years of experience operating VMC machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of machining processes and production operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of shop floor safety practices.
