- The role focuses on supporting, administering, optimizing, and securing enterprise virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments.
- Responsible for delivering high-quality support, ensuring service availability, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining a secure virtualization landscape.
1.) Requirement L2:
Essential Job Functions - L2:
- Provide advanced technical support for Citrix Virtual Desktops Essentials and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement effective resolutions for complex incidents and security issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with multiple support teams to resolve escalated incidents within agreed SLA targets.
- Maintain operational continuity and strengthen virtualization security posture.
- Participate in knowledge management activities including documentation and knowledge base maintenance.
- Train new team members and coach analysts to improve technical capabilities.
- Drive customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution and high first-call resolution rates.
- Reduce case reopenings and rejected resolutions through quality troubleshooting practices.
- Proactively identify and mitigate security threats within the virtualization environment.
Qualifications - L2:
- Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Desktops Essentials.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong understanding of Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis processes.
- Knowledge of security best practices in virtual desktop environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while meeting SLA commitments.
- Knowledge of Nerdio platform administration is preferred.
2.) Requirement L3:
Essential Job Functions - L3:
- Lead administration and management of Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Nerdio environments.
- Design, optimize, and maintain large-scale virtual desktop infrastructure platforms.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for high-severity and business-critical incidents.
- Drive virtualization transformation, optimization, and modernization initiatives.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and health monitoring.
- Implement automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and related cloud technologies.
- Lead migration, upgrade, deployment, and onboarding activities.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Network teams.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across support teams.
- Engage directly with stakeholders to define virtualization strategies and deliver business solutions.
Qualifications - L3:
- Expert knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Robust hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- Experience administering and managing Nerdio environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience with FSLogix profile management and optimization.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy,
and identity management.
- PowerShell scripting and automation expertise.
- Robust understanding of virtualization security, governance, and compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Certifications:
- Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA-V).
- Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Nerdio Technical Certifications.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
