SAP FICO Tester

An SAP FICO Tester is responsible for testing SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes to ensure that financial transactions, integrations, reports, and business processes work correctly after SAP implementations, upgrades, or changes.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and SAP FICO functional specifications.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Test SAP FI modules such as:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Bank Accounting
- Tax and payment processes
- Test SAP CO processes such as:
- Cost Center Accounting
- Profit Center Accounting
- Internal Orders
- Product Costing
- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
- Validate integration between FICO and MM, SD, PP, and other SAP modules.
- Verify financial postings, document flows, account determination, and master data.




- Reconcile SAP results with expected business and accounting results.
- Log, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira, ALM, or ServiceNow.
- Participate in defect triage and work with SAP FICO consultants/developers to resolve issues.
- Support UAT, production validation, and regression testing.
- Prepare test execution reports and testing documentation.
- Ensure testing aligns with accounting controls and business requirements.

Required Skills
- 4-6 + years of experience in SAP FICO testing/functional testing.
- Valuable understanding of SAP FI and CO business processes.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance is an advantage.
- Experience with STP/OTC/P2P/R2R business processes.
- Understanding of integration between FICO and MM/SD.
- Experience writing and executing test cases.
- Defect management and test management experience.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Good analytical, documentation, and commun
