Sonchiraiya News is looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our digital news and production team. The candidate will be responsible for editing news videos, interviews, reports, reels, shorts, and other digital content for our social media platforms.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of storytelling through visuals, pacing, sound, graphics, and social media-friendly video formats.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit news reports, interviews, video packages, reels, Shorts, and social media videos.
- Create engaging and qualified videos for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X.
- Select and organize relevant footage according to the story and editorial requirements.
- Add appropriate graphics, text, lower thirds, transitions, images, music, and sound effects.
- Ensure proper video quality, color, audio levels, and overall presentation.




- Edit breaking-news videos quickly while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Create short-form content from long-form news videos for Reels and Shorts.
- Work closely with anchors, reporters, cameramen, content writers, and the editorial team.
- Understand scripts and convert news stories into visually engaging videos.
- Ensure videos are formatted correctly for different social media platforms.
- Maintain an organized library of video footage

- Adobe Premiere Pro & Adobe After Effects – Required
- Adobe Photoshop – Preferred
- DaVinci Resolve – Advantage
- Final Cut Pro – Advantage
