Location:
Chembur, Mumbai
Job Type:
Full-time | On-site
Brands:
Dr. Sidharth Verma | Painacea India | Mumbai Pain School
About the Role
We are looking for a creative, reliable and performance-oriented Video Editor to manage video post-production across three distinct healthcare and medical-education brands:
Dr. Sidharth Verma
— Doctor-led educational, professional, thought-leadership and social media content.
Painacea India
— Patient-focused content related to spine, pain management, diagnosis, treatment awareness, patient education and clinical services.
Mumbai Pain School
— Qualified medical education, conferences, workshops, procedural teaching and educational content for doctors.
The role goes beyond simply cutting footage. The editor should be able to understand the audience, message and objective of each video and convert raw footage into clear, engaging and professionally finished content while maintaining the distinct identity of each brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, podcasts, interviews and long-form YouTube videos .
- Convert doctor recordings, educational videos, procedure footage, patient stories/testimonials, podcasts, lectures, workshops, conferences and events into engaging content.
- Identify strong
hooks, storylines and key moments from raw or long-form footage.
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple platform-appropriate short-form videos.
- Add professional captions, B-roll, graphics, lower thirds, transitions, motion graphics, sound design and music where appropriate.
- Perform basic colour correction/grading, audio enhancement and synchronization .
- Create platform-specific versions with appropriate aspect ratios, duration and pacing.
- Maintain separate and consistent visual identities for Dr. Sidharth Verma, Painacea India and Mumbai Pain School .
- Work with the content/social-media team and follow briefs, content calendars and publishing deadlines.
- Organize project files, raw footage, assets and final exports systematically so that content can be retrieved and reused.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and maintain version control.
- Perform a final quality-control check for captions, spelling, graphics, audio, branding and exports before submission.
- Use AI-assisted video and creative tools where they genuinely improve speed, quality or creative output.
- Gradually contribute to improving editing templates, workflows, checklists and SOPs so that the content-production system becomes faster and more consistent.
Healthcare Content Responsibility Because the content involves healthcare and medical education, accuracy is as important as creativity
.
The editor must
- Preserve the intended meaning of the doctor/speaker while editing.
- Avoid edits, headlines, graphics or visual effects that could unintentionally create misleading medical claims.
- Flag medical terminology or statements that are unclear rather than guessing.
- Maintain appropriate sensitivity and confidentiality while handling patient or clinical content.
- Follow the organization's approval and content-review workflow before publication.
Prior medical knowledge is not mandatory; willingness to learn and accuracy are essential.
Requirements
- Professional experience in video editing with a strong portfolio. Approximately 1–3+ years preferred; exceptional candidates with less experience but strong work will also be considered.
- Strong working proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro .
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects .
- Demonstrated ability to edit both short-form and long-form content .
- Good understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling and audience retention.
- Ability to create captions, basic motion graphics and polished social-media edits.
- Working knowledge of colour correction and audio editing.
- Understanding of Instagram, YouTube and contemporary social-media content formats.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to accept and implement feedback.
Preferred Skills
- Experience editing healthcare, educational, professional or expert-led content.
- Basic graphic-design skills and familiarity with Canva/Adobe tools.
- Experience with AI-assisted creative/video tools such as Runway, Adobe Firefly, Kling, Sora, Veo or equivalent platforms .
- Experience with podcasts and multi-camera footage.
- Basic understanding of social-media analytics, retention and content performance.
- Ability to suggest creative improvements rather than simply execute instructions.
What We Value Technical editing ability is important, but we particularly value people who demonstrate:
Integrity • Ownership • Reliability • Coachability • Creativity • Attention to Detail • Systematic Working • Curiosity • Willingness to Learn
We expect team members to be comfortable saying “I don't know, but I'll find out”
rather than guessing, particularly when working with medical information.
What Success Looks Like A successful Video Editor should progressively be able to:
Understand the brief → Create the edit → Deliver reliably → Learn from performance and feedback → Improve the workflow
Over time, we expect the editor to take increasing ownership of video post-production rather than requiring detailed instructions for every edit.
