About the Role

Academian is seeking a senior technology executive to serve as the company's technology leader in India and strategic partner to the CTO.

This role will be responsible for defining and executing Academian's technology vision, enterprise architecture strategy, AI platform roadmap, engineering standards, and innovation agenda across internal products, client solutions, and emerging AI initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise architecture, AI-native application development, cloud platforms, software engineering leadership, and technology transformation. The individual will act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, support strategic client engagements, and establish technology capabilities that enable Academian's long-term growth.

This role will drive architecture governance, AI engineering excellence, platform modernization, and technical innovation while mentoring the next generation of architects and engineering leaders.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with the CTO to define and execute Academian's technology, architecture, and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth, product innovation, and client needs.
- Own enterprise architecture and technical governance across all products, platforms, AI solutions, and client-facing systems, establishing scalable and reusable technology standards.
- Lead the design and delivery of AI-first solutions, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG architectures, intelligent automation, and domain-specific AI platforms.
- Drive engineering excellence and platform modernization through cloud-native architectures, microservices, DevOps, observability, automation, and reliability engineering practices.
- Serve as the senior technical advisor for strategic clients, participating in executive discussions, solution reviews, AI strategy engagements, technical due diligence, and architecture assessments.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Consulting teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and execution plans.




- Build and mentor a high-performing organization of architects, engineering managers, principal engineers, and AI specialists, creating a solid leadership pipeline.
- Establish architecture review boards, engineering governance processes, and technology best practices to improve quality, scalability, security, and delivery predictability.
- Lead innovation initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to create new products, accelerators, frameworks, and competitive differentiators.
