Role Description The Vice President – Admissions is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing and driving the admissions strategy across Velammal Educational Trust institutions. This position manages the end-to-end admissions process, including planning enrollment targets, designing and implementing outreach initiatives, and ensuring consistent admissions policies and procedures. The role involves leading admissions teams, monitoring application pipelines, coordinating with academic and administrative departments, and using data to forecast trends and optimize seat utilization.

President – Admissions will develop communication plans for prospective learners and families, represent the trust at events and forums, handle escalations related to admissions, and ensure that all activities align with the trust’s values and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Robust leadership and people management skills, with experience directing cross-functional teams and building collaborative relationships.
- Expertise in admissions management, enrollment planning, and student recruitment, preferably in K–12 or higher education institutions.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and the use of CRM or admissions management systems to make informed, evidence-based decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to interact effectively with families, staff, and external partners.
- Strategic planning and project management capabilities, with a track record of implementing scalable processes and achieving growth targets.
- Knowledge of relevant educational regulations, institutional governance, and best practices in admissions and outreach.
- Master’s degree in Education, Management, Administration, or a related field; significant leadership experience in admissions or institutional administration is highly desirable.
- High level of integrity, professional accountability, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory admission practices.
