Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define and design the vehicle network topology (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet) based on bandwidth, latency, and functional requirements.
- Database Creation & Management: Generate, release, and maintain network communication database files (DBC, LDF, FIBEX, and ARXML) for all ECUs on the vehicle bus.
- Signal Matrix & Routing Management: Design the signal matrix and map cross-bus signal routing through central gateway modules, ensuring zero packet drops and minimum latency.
- AUTOSAR Configuration: Configure and integrate the Communication (Com) stack, SecOC (Secure Onboard Communication), and Diagnostic (Dcm/Dem) modules within the AUTOSAR Classic or Adaptive layers.
- Network Management (NM): Design and validate vehicle wake-up and sleep strategies (Osek NM / Autosar NM) to meet strict low-quiescent-current requirements.
- Network Verification & Validation: Lead network testing, residual bus simulation, and message-timing analysis at both bench and full-vehicle levels to ensure busload optimization.
Must have skills:
- Protocol Expertise
- Traditional Buses: Deep technical knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, and LIN physical and data link layers (including bit timing, error frames, and scheduling tables).
- Next-Gen High Bandwidth: Experience with Automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1), switch configurations, and service-oriented protocols like SOME/IP or DoIP (Diagnostics over IP).
- Automotive Toolchain Mastery
- Vector Tool Suite: Proficiency in CANoe, CANalyzer, vFlash, and CANdelaStudio.
Architecture & Database Design: Hands-on experience with tools like PREEvision, DaVinci --Configurator/Developer, or Capital VSTAR.
- Scripting: Advanced ability to write CAPL (CAN Access Programming Language) scripts for remaining network simulation, or Python for test automation.
- Diagnostics & Security
- Diagnostic Protocols: Expert understanding of UDS (ISO 14229) and OBD-II standards over CAN and Ethernet.
- Cybersecurity & Functional Safety: Familiarity with implementing SecOC, TLS/IPsec for vehicle buses, and understanding network dependencies for ISO 26262 (ASIL targets).
