Seeking a Validation Engineer (2–4 years exp) in Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronics to lead motor and gearbox performance testing, build test setups, and execute DVP&R; validation plans.

Join our engineering team as a Validation Engineer to drive performance, reliability, and quality across our advanced motor and gearbox product lines. In this hands-on role, you will bridge R&D; and production by specifying dynamometers and test setups, executing end-to-end validation protocols (torque-speed mapping, efficiency, thermal rise, backlash, and noise/vibration), and conducting root-cause failure investigations.

Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with Design/R&D;, Manufacturing, Quality, and Reliability teams.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on improvements for design-for-testability and design-for-reliability.
- Collaborate with design/R&D; teams to implement corrective actions.
- Design or specify test benches/dynamometers for motor performance testing (torque-speed curves, efficiency mapping, back-EMF, cogging torque).
- Motor testing: torque-speed characteristics, efficiency, current draw, commutation accuracy (for BLDC/stepper), synchronous behavior, thermal rise, back-EMF waveform, cogging/ripple torque.




- Investigate test failures (e.g., bearing failures, winding insulation breakdown, gear tooth pitting/wear, demagnetization).
- Plan validation across product lifecycle stages: component, sub-system, and full assembly levels.
- Gearbox testing: efficiency, backlash, noise/vibration, lubrication effectiveness, gear tooth wear, thermal performance.
- Prepare validation test reports, DVP&R; sign-off documents, and engineering change validation records.
- Support certification processes (EMI/EMC testing, safety testing).
- Maintain test data traceability and validation history for audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 if automotive-adjacent).
- Define pass/fail criteria based on design specs, customer requirements, and standards (IEC 60034, NEMA, ISO, AGMA for gears, etc.).
- Continuously update technical knowledge and stay current with industry trends, design practices, and software tools.
- Participate in internal training sessions and support knowledge sharing within the team.
