Job Title: Resort Manager/General Manager
Location: Theni/Yelagiri, Tamil Nadu
Position Overview:
Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited is looking for an experienced and dynamic Resort Manager to take complete operational ownership of our properties. The ideal candidate will act as the Unit Head for the property, responsible for driving the overall operations, guest experience, team performance, service standards, revenue, profitability and cost objectives, compliance, and stakeholder management. The role will require strong hands-on operational leadership along with the ability to build and lead a high performing team in a destination property.
The ideal candidate should have strong hotel operations experience, preferably with exposure to upscale hospitality, with a significant focus on F&B;, Room Division and revenue generation and should understand the dynamics of operating a destination resort. Familiarity with the local market, regional culture and language will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property Operations: Oversee all departments and ensure smooth, efficient operations in line with Sterling SOPs and service standards.
- Pre-Opening: Lead manpower planning, recruitment, training, SOP implementation and complete operational readiness before launch.
- Guest Experience: Drive a strong guest-centric culture, ensure service excellence and personally manage key guest concerns and service recovery.
- Business Performance: Take ownership of operational and financial performance, with focus on revenue, profitability, budgeting and cost optimisation.
- People Leadership: Build and lead a strong team, develop HODs, drive accountability, engagement, performance and retention.
- Owner & Stakeholder Management: Manage owner relationships and coordinate closely with Corporate Office functions to align business and operational priorities.
- Sales & Revenue: Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to improve occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and overall property revenue while developing the local market.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, hygiene, food safety, safety, security, audits and company policies.
- F&B; Revenue Growth: Lead the Food & Beverage function as a key business driver for the resort. Drive F&B; revenue through restaurants, bars, banquets, events, destination dining and experiential offerings. Ensure strong focus on menu engineering, average check, covers, upselling, cost control and food profitability. Improve F&B; guest experience while maintaining food quality, hygiene, service standards and operational efficiency.
- Market Development: Build strong local relationships with communities, tourism stakeholders and destination partners to strengthen the propertys positioning and create unique guest experiences. Identify opportunities to maximise room revenue, F&B; revenue, banquets, experiences, events and other ancillary revenue streams

Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent qualification.
- 1020 years of relevant experience in hotel/resort operations, with significant experience in a leadership role.
- Prior experience as Operations Manager/ EAM/ Resort Manager in a reputed hospitality organisation.
- Strong core experience in F&B; Operations, Room Division and Front Office, with demonstrated commercial and revenue orientation.
- Experience in destination resorts, experiential properties or remote-location operations will be an advantage.
- Proven track record of driving guest satisfaction, revenue growth, profitability, cost optimisation and team performance.
- Candidates with local market knowledge, regional exposure and/or familiarity with the local language will be preferred.
- Stable career progression with a minimum tenure of approximately 2 years in each organisation.
- Prior experience with reputed/luxury hospitality brands will be an advantage.
