Company Description Spark School AI is a Teaching Intelligence Platform designed specifically for Indian K–12 classrooms, built to reflect how teachers actually plan and teach. The platform helps educators significantly reduce preparation time by generating curriculum-aligned lesson content, worksheets, assessments, lab activities, and exam prep across CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge, and State Boards for Grades 1–12, with native support for Hindi and Gujarati. Role Description The User Experience Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, accessible, and engaging experiences for teachers using the Spark School AI platform. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves conducting user research with teachers and school stakeholders, mapping user journeys, and applying design thinking to translate classroom workflows into digital interfaces. Day-to-day tasks include creating wireframes and interactive prototypes, collaborating with product managers and engineers,



and refining designs based on user feedback and data.

The designer will contribute to visual design systems, maintain consistency across the product, and ensure the platform supports diverse curricula, languages, and classroom contexts. This role requires close collaboration with the founding team and educators to continuously improve usability and impact in real classrooms.

Qualifications

- Strong user-centered mindset with skills in Design Thinking and User Experience (UX).
- Experience conducting User Research, including interviews, usability testing, and contextual inquiry with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Visual Design, including layout, typography, color, and design systems for web and mobile interfaces.
- Ability to create and iterate on low- to high-fidelity Prototyping using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Relevant experience in product or interaction design, preferably in edtech or products for educators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working in office in a fast-paced, early-stage environment and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to technical and non-technical partners.
- Familiarity with front-end capabilities and constraints, accessibility best practices.
