About The Job:

- We are seeking an experienced and proactive Ubuntu Client Consultant to lead the administration, maintenance, and support of Ubuntu-based endpoints across a global enterprise environment.

- The role includes client lifecycle management, patching, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams for secure and efficient operations.

- This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical knowledge and hands-on expertise in Ubuntu system administration and client management tools.

Essential Job Functions:

- Lead the configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of Ubuntu clients.

- Design and maintain automated OS deployment solutions and patch management strategies.

- Develop scripts (Bash/Python/Ansible) for automating routine tasks and improving operational efficiency.

- Ensure all Ubuntu endpoints comply with corporate security policies and are regularly updated.

- Manage package repositories, application installations, and driver configurations.

- Collaborate with security teams for endpoint hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance audits.

- Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes.

- Provide Level2 andLevel 3 support for complex Linux desktop issues raised by the service desk or end users.

- Evaluate and implement open-source tools for better manageability and monitoring of Ubuntu devices.





- Coordinate with global IT teams for standardization of images, policies, and configurations.

- Support integration with identity management (LDAP/AD) and endpoint management systems.

- Contribute to IT strategy for Linux endpoint management, reporting to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

Experience

- 4-5 years of experience in administration, maintenance, and support of Ubuntu-based endpoints across a global enterprise environment.

Requirement

- 5+ years of Linux system administration experience (Ubuntu/Debian preferred).

- Proven experience managing large-scale Ubuntu client environments (200+ devices).

- Strong knowledge of Linux OS internals, boot processes, file systems, and networking.

- Experience with automated deployment tools like PXE boot, Kickstart, MAAS, or preseed.

- Hands-on with Ansible, Bash scripting, Python, or equivalent automation frameworks.

- Familiar with APT package management, Snap, Flatpak, and software repository handling.

- Understanding of LDAP/Active Directory integration with Linux clients.

- Experience with patch management and compliance reporting.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Soft Skills

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred

- Exposure to VDI environments, Zero Trust Security, or Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.





- Experience with Canonical Landscape, Foreman/Katello, or other fleet management tools.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for endpoint management.

- ITIL or similar certification in service management.

Shift: 24*5 English/German Client (3 shifts)
