Design Engineer – Interior Trim (IP & Console, Cross Car Beam)

Location: [Aurangabad]

Experience: 5–10 years

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering (Mandatory)

Preferred: Experience in HMI and ergonomics

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Design Engineer to lead the development of Instrument Panel (IP), Center Console, and Cross Car Beam (CCB) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior trim design, structural integration, and a keen eye for craftsmanship and ergonomics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and development of Instrument Panel (IP) and Center Console assemblies.
- Integrate key components such as instrument clusters, infotainment screens, HVAC controls, and airbag systems.
- Manage interfaces with the Cross Car Beam (CCB) and ensure structural integrity.
- Ensure high standards of fit, finish, and craftsmanship in all interior components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including styling, CAE, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Support validation, testing, and release of components through the product development cycle.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Proven experience in designing complex interior assemblies like IPs and consoles.
- Expertise in large-part injection molding and surface covering technologies.




- Robust understanding of airbag integration and safety requirements.
- Experience in designing structural components, especially CCBs.
- Knowledge of materials such as steel, magnesium, and aluminum, and their manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD/PLM tools: CATIA, NX, Teamcenter.
- Ability to collaborate with CAE teams for structural analysis and optimization.
