Treasury Manager

- Oversees a company's daily cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risks to ensure short-term and long-term financial stability.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Cash & Liquidity Management:

F Monitor cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity in the company.

F Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.

2. Banking & Relationship Management:

F Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

F Negotiate banking terms, fees, and credit facilities.

F Manage the opening, closing,



and maintenance of bank accounts.

3. Investment & Debt Management:

F Execute investment strategies in line with company policy.

F Monitor and manage debt facilities, including covenant compliance and interest payments.

F Explore ways to maximize investment income while ensuring capital safety.

4. Risk Management, Compliance and Reporting:

F Identify and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate, currency, and liquidity risks.

F Monitor financial market trends and economic conditions to identify risks and opportunities.

F Ensure compliance with treasury policies and procedures.

F Prepare treasury and other relevant reports for Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO), Risk and Capital Committee, and the Board and ensure ALCO meeting is held periodically.

F Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

F Liaise with fund managers to track investment portfolio performance.

F Support external audits and internal reviews related to treasury operations.

F Systems & Process Improvement

F Drive automation and efficiency in treasury processes.

F Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate treasury systems with ERP platforms.

Preferred candidate profile

1.



CA or MBA or CFA with 6-10 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking.

2. Strong understanding of cash management, financial instruments, and capital markets.

3. Great attention to detail and the ability to make sound judgment calls and respond quickly with current recommendations when sudden market changes occur.

4. Excellent knowledge of the Nigerian capital market.

5. Experience with treasury management systems and ERP platforms.

6. Ability to prepare professional-looking presentations with graphs and charts to illustrate the data and convey convincing recommendations.

7. Analytical and strategic thinking.

8. Strong communication and negotiation skills

9. Mastery of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc

10. Attention to detail and accuracy.

11. Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling

12. Knowledge of IFRS and regulatory frameworks.
