Treasury Audit – A Treasury Audit professional is responsible for reviewing and checking the company’s treasury activities to ensure that financial transactions are accurate, properly authorized, and follow company policies and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review treasury transactions such as bank payments, receipts, fund transfers, investments, and borrowings.
- Check bank reconciliations and verify that bank balances are accurate.
- Review cash and bank balances and ensure proper cash management.
- Verify that all treasury transactions have the required approvals and supporting documents.
- Check compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls.
- Review foreign exchange transactions and identify any unusual or incorrect activities.
- Audit loans, investments, interest payments, and other treasury-related transactions.
- Identify control weaknesses, errors, risks, or unusual transactions.
- Prepare audit working papers and maintain proper audit documentation.
- Discuss audit findings with the relevant teams and suggest practical improvements.
- Follow up on previous audit observations to ensure corrective actions have been completed.
