Job Summary:

The Transport Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s transportation operations, including vehicle management, driver supervision, route planning, compliance, and cost control. The role ensures safe, efficient, and timely transportation services while maintaining high operational standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day transport operations and ensure smooth vehicle movement.
- Supervise and coordinate drivers, transport staff, and vehicle schedules.
- Plan and optimize routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation services.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and operational costs.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with statutory requirements such as insurance, permits, fitness certificates, pollution certificates, and road tax.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, preventive maintenance, and breakdown support.
- Maintain transport-related records, logs, and reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and traffic regulations.




- Handle vendor coordination for vehicle rentals, repairs, fuel, and transport services.
- Investigate and resolve transport-related issues, delays, accidents, or complaints.
- Prepare MIS reports and provide operational updates to management.
- Support transportation planning for employees, materials, or goods as required by the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Transportation or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in transport or fleet management.
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and transport regulations.
- Experience in handling transport vendors and driver management.
- Must have used GPS-enabled monitoring applications
- Good understanding of cost control and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in MS Office and transport/fleet management systems.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
