Role & responsibilities :
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership
- Lead the Engine / Engine Auxiliary/ Front Area engineering team delivering design and development projects for global tractor OEMs.
- Plan engineering activities, allocate work packages and monitor project execution.
- Mentor engineers through regular technical reviews and design guidance.
- Ensure adherence to customer engineering standards, CAD practices and project milestones.
2. Engine / Engine Auxiliary/Cooling System Design & Integration
- Lead design and development of Engine / Engine Auxiliary assemblies including:
- Cooling System
- Air Intake, filters
- Exhaust System
- Hoods
- Side Covers and Grills
- Bumper
- Sheet Metal Panels
- Brackets and Mounting Structures
- SMC Components
- Tube/hose routing and fittings
- Ensure proper packaging, accessibility, serviceability and manufacturability and compliance standards.
- Manage interface integration with steering, hydraulics, electrical, chassis, and VI teams.
3. CAD & Engineering Deliverables
- Develop and review 3D CAD models and assemblies using Siemens NX.
- Review engineering drawings, BOMs and product release documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customer CAD standards and modelling best practices.
- Support engineering change implementation and configuration management.
4. Engineering Quality
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and design standardization.
- Support GD&T; implementation and tolerance stack-up studies.
- Participate in DFMEA reviews and support DVP discussions as required.
- Support prototype build activities, issue resolution and design improvements.
5. Customer & Project Coordination
- Act as the technical interface for Engine/Engine Auxiliary engineering activities with the customer.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions and project status meetings.
- Coordinate with CAE, validation,
manufacturing and purchasing teams for successful design integration.
- Track engineering deliverables, risks, open issues and ensure timely closure.
- Support engineering effort estimation, proposal preparation and project planning for new business opportunities.
Skill Requirements
8-15 Years experience in Tractor Engine Integration, Cooling system, Air intake and exhaust system
Technical Skills
- 815 years of experience in mechanical design and development of tractor Engine Integration, Air Intake and exhaust system and Engine Hood
- Strong knowledge of Engine Integration, Cooling system Design, Radiators, Oil coolers, CAC, DOC & DPF system, Air Intake & Exhaust system, Hood and front tractor area.
- Expertise in sheet metal component design, welded structures, mounting brackets, plastic components and fabricated assemblies.
- Good understanding of lever linkage mechanisms for hoods. SMC, pipe and hose routings and design, Engine and emissions.
- Strong proficiency in Siemens NX (CAD) and Teamcenter (PLM).
- Experience in product packaging, assembly integration and interface management.
- Good understanding of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up and engineering drawing practices.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to sheet metal, welding and plastic components.
- Exposure to DFMEA, DVP and validation activities is desirable.
- Familiarity with engineering change management and product release processes.
Leadership Skills
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of mechanical design engineers.
- Ability to plan work allocation, monitor progress and ensure timely project delivery.
- Conduct technical reviews and maintain engineering quality.
- Experience coordinating with customer engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Ability to manage multiple work packages in a dynamic project environment.
