Responsible for all mechanical maintenance related activities in the plant
- To ensure maximum uptime for all critical machines and ensure a high overall equipment efficiency
- Maintenance Planning (Preventive/Shutdown) and ensure execution as per plan
- Trouble shooting/Maintenance of Material Conveyors / Bucket elevators / Screw feeders/ Gearboxes, Pumps /Compressors etc.
- Champion and implement safe working in his area
- Spares Planning and Management to ensure adequate stocks of spares & consumables for un-interrupted working of the machines
- Develop system for Predictive & Preventive maintenance - schedules, checklists & adherence
- Breakdown analysis and CAPA
- Develop Corrective and Preventive actions of repeated equipment failures
- Maintenance cost Budgeting, monitoring & controlling the same within the budget
- Responsible for the various mechanical department related contracting (out-sourced) jobs.
- Ensure compliance with Environment , Health & Safety as per Saint-Gobain standards as well as ISO Standards
- Responsible for Mechanical Department related WCM (World Class Manufacturing) projects, Kaizen
- Knowledge on LOCK OUT – TAGOUT & ensuring 100% compliance on the same.
- To execute projects identified for increasing productivity & reliability of equipments.
- To execute projects for cost reduction & EHS improvements.
- Modification works for improving reliability of equipments.
