Tender
Identification &
- Evaluation
- Identify relevant tender opportunities through e-tendering portals, client portals and other sources.
- Review tender eligibility, scope, estimated value, submission deadline and commercial conditions.
- Conduct preliminary feasibility analysis before management approval for bidding.
2.
Tender Document
Study
- Thoroughly study RFQs, tender documents, specifications, drawings, BOQs and scope of work.
- Identify technical, commercial and contractual requirements.
- Prepare tender synopsis and highlight important terms, conditions and risks.
- Identify pre-bid queries and submit clarifications within stipulated timelines.
3. Estimation &
- BOQ
- Prepare detailed BOQs and quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Prepare material, labour, subcontracting and other project cost estimates.
- Conduct detailed rate analysis and ensure appropriate pricing.
- Include overheads, transportation, wastage, contingencies and applicable commercial costs wherever required.
- Maintain and update cost databases and historical tender rates.
4. Vendor &
- Subcontractor Coordination
- Float RFQs to vendors and subcontractors.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations.
- Prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate rates and commercial terms where required.
- Maintain an updated vendor/subcontractor database.
5. Technical &
- Commercial Proposal
- Prepare complete techno-commercial tender submissions.
- Prepare technical compliance statements and deviation statements.
- Coordinate with engineering/design teams for technical documentation.
- Ensure all required forms, certificates, company documents and supporting documents are included.
- Ensure tenders are submitted accurately and before the deadline.
6. Post-Tender Activities
- Coordinate responses to client queries and clarifications.
- Support management during commercial negotiations.
- Revise estimates and offers based on client requirements.
- Maintain tender records, submitted prices and tender results.
- Analyse successful and unsuccessful bids for future improvement.
7.
Internal
Coordination
- Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Procurement, Projects, Finance and Management.
- Obtain technical inputs, material prices and project execution requirements.
- Assist the project team with cost and BOQ information after order receipt.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, costing or techno-commercial proposals.
- Candidates with experience in engineering/manufacturing/EPC/industrial projects will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off and rate analysis.
Required Software Skills
- MS Excel – Advanced
- MS Word
- MS PowerPoint
- AutoCAD – preferred
- Knowledge of ERP/tendering software will be an advantage
- Ability to work with Excel-based costing and estimation sheets

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
