Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Structures Modeler with 3+ years of experience in structural steel modeling, detailing, connection design, fabrication, and erection documentation . The candidate should have strong knowledge of Tekla Structures, steel detailing standards, BIM coordination, and structural engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities 1. Connection Design & Engineering

- Design and prepare calculations for simple and complex steel connections , including shear and moment connections.
- Design column base plates, anchor bolts, and substructure interfaces .
- Carry out connection design as per applicable Indian Standard (IS) codes and project requirements.
- Use IDEA StatiCa, RAM Connection, and Excel for connection design, calculations, and verification, wherever required.
- Perform technical/professional review of connection designs and detailing.

1. GA & Tekla Model Development

- Develop and maintain accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures .
- Update General Arrangement (GA) drawings with connection details and relevant design information.
- Ensure the Tekla model is accurate, coordinated, and free from clashes .
- Review and revise Tekla models based on design changes and coordination requirements.
- Coordinate Tekla models with BIM workflows and other disciplines.

1. HR Steel Fabrication Detailing

- Prepare HR steel fabrication drawings in CAD/PDF/Excel formats.
- Prepare single-part/member detail drawings with BOM and material grades.
- Prepare assembly drawings,



material summaries, part assembly lists, and other fabrication reports.
- Generate Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Materials (BOM) .
- Prepare hardware/bolt lists with appropriate grades.
- Mark Center of Gravity (COG) for relevant part marks.
- Provide lifting lug arrangements for required part marks.
- Prepare CNC/NC export files for fabrication.
- Develop detailing for staircases, steps, handrails, ladders, pipes, and other miscellaneous steel components .
- Prepare splice details, welding details, and specifications as per applicable Indian and ISO standards.
- Apply appropriate tolerances and general notes as per project requirements and design basis.

1. Erection Drawings

- Prepare HR erection drawings in CAD/PDF/Excel formats.
- Develop grid layouts and elevations .
- Prepare frame elevations with bolt marking and bolt grades .
- Provide proper erection marks and component orientation .
- Detail field bolts and field welds as required.
- Ensure erection drawings are clear, accurate, and suitable for site execution.

1. Deck Sheet Layout & Composite Slab

- Prepare deck sheet layout drawings in CAD/PDF/Excel formats.
- Review technical specifications and data sheets for deck sheets.
- Support design and detailing of composite slabs and requirements related to deck slabs.




- Develop Tekla models incorporating the deck sheet layout plan .
- Detail floor ducts/openings wherever required.
- Prepare BOM for deck sheets, including edge angles .

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Tekla Structures modeling and structural steel detailing.
- Solid proficiency in Tekla Structures .
- Good knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection detailing .
- Strong understanding of steel connections, base plates, anchor bolts, bolts, welds, and splice details .
- Experience in preparing GA, fabrication, assembly, single-part, and erection drawings .
- Knowledge of MTO, BOM, CNC/NC files, material reports, and fabrication documentation .
- Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection .
- Valuable understanding of Indian Standard codes and ISO specifications related to steel detailing.
- Knowledge of deck sheet and composite slab detailing will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with structural engineers, BIM coordinators, fabricators, and project teams .

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in international structural steel projects will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, IDEA StatiCa, and RAM Connection preferred.
- Experience with connection design and engineering calculations is preferred.
- Knowledge of fabrication and erection processes will be an added advantage.
